Addressing the golf ball with the weight out on the toes is a misconception that will affect the golfers balance and their ability to swing the golf club freely.
Weight on the toes is great for sports where lateral motion is present. For example, basketball, running and soccer would be sports where the weight should be on the toes.
However, the golf swing is rotational type of motion. The weight should not be on the toes but instead should favor the heels slightly. Tap you toes up and down at address to set your weight properly prior to swinging the golf club.
When a golfer sets their weight out on the toes the swing path and ability to rotate their body will be compromised. By setting the weight back towards the heels, the swing path will become shallower and the body will be able to rotate.
