Width of Stance:.

The vast majortiy of golfers stand over the golf ball with their feet much to close together. The feet being close together makes it very difficult to make a balanced pivot of the body during the backswing. Typically we hear that the feet should be shoulder width apart at address. I personally would like to see the feet placed so that the feet favor the outside of the shoulders. Picture a triangle with the narrowest part on top, being your head and the widest part on the bottom being your feet. This wider stance creates much more stability and allows the body to pivot inside of the feet during the backswing.
