Initial Takeaway Move:.

The initial movement away from the golf ball should be one where the shoulders, arms and hands move the clubhead away from the ball together.  This is also referred to as the one piece takeaway.

The one-piece takeaway should also allow the body to rotate away from the target, allowing freedom for the golf clubhead to move up away from the ground.  As the club moves away from the ball the clubface will show minimal rotation until the trail arm begins to fold.

It is important to remember that the clubhead will move up the initial shaft angle set at address or at least close to it.  The clubhead should remain even or out in front of the hands as club moves back to a hip high position.
